Rugby drills are good for developing young players and also a good way to enhance the skills and knowledge of such. But i wouldnt be pinning all my hopes on these drills to mean the difference between winning games or not. Dont get me wrong, we do need the drills to help us coach, but these will only cover for 1 part of the way your team plays. And that is what is important, it is the "team". As coaches we need to be building a team on trust. If you can do that then you will have an exceptional team. You may have exceptional individual players in your team but if they dont play as a team then they are doomed along with your team. But that is why we are here as coaches, and that is to bring the best out of an individual player so that they reach their full potential. It does not matter who has got the best drills or the best looking drill. It is how your team plays as a "team", and how much they want that victory.

The international teams are all doing the some drills to, they all develop the same areas that most teams focus on with the same principals and outcomes in mind. It is just that they do it differently. Dont be concerned about the little things, its your players that are more important!

In response to Neils comments above, is it not better for all to share drills and techniques?! At the end of the day the UK coaching scene is full of remarkable talent but also on the other hand aquite a few dummies too! So if these drills can further enhance the not so talented coaches and level things up them this can only be positive to the game!!! And remeber one thing we are not all robots so application is the thing that will address the drills effectivly!!
